Keeper Skool Interviews Vince Bartram
June 27, 2009
Vince Bartram knows a whole lot about what it takes to cut the grade as a professional goalkeeper. As understudy to English goalkeeping great David Seaman, Bartram’s rise to success was not an overnight adventure. Drills to enhance goalkeeper distribution with the feet
June 10, 2009
Today’s game demands more from the goalkeeper. The back pass rule had inevitably changed the rules associated with the pace of the game. Modern goalkeepers must not only think quickly, but distribute the ball quickly. One of the hardest qualities to develop in a young goalkeeper is his/her ability to not only kick for distance from a stationary position (goal kick), but also how to enact an attacking motion from the back pass with precision.
Following are some great drills to help the goalkeeper get a “feel” for the ball from John Murphy’s book The Full Season Goalkeeper Training Program, provided by our partners World Class Coaching. The following drill focuses on helping the goalkeeper distribute more effectively with their feet from a short intermediate and long distribution range.

June 1, 2009
Buffon could probably claim to be the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment. His performances for I bianconeri since his arrival in 2001 have been nothing short of amazing and there are few other keepers who can match his shot stopping ability and indeed his overall game.
