2022-2023 Serie A TIM Goalkeepers
August 19, 2022
The Italian Serie A began in 1929. Only Internazionale (Inter Milan) has always appeared in the top flight of Italian football; however, Juventus and AS Roma have only had one season outside of the Serie A, respectively. Three new teams join the top flight for this season: Bologna, Chievo Verona, and Lecce. The defending champion is Inter Milan.
For a geographical listing from an excellent educational site, Footie Map, of all professional Italian teams, along with their official websites, please click here.
In terms of countries represented by goalkeepers, the Serie A has Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brasil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Peru, Slovenia, and Uruguay.
Let’s look at the keepers for the 20 teams. I have listed the probable #1 in the first slot. Where individual videos were available, I have included them for further review. In Italian, the goal mouth is called “la porta.” The goalkeeper is called “il portiere.” Literally, someone who guards the gate.
